A Soft Reboot of GenXorcist.com
When the current incarnation of GenXorcist.com launched back in January 2017, my plan was to make it an anthology series. Each episode would be a self-contained story with our intrepid hero, the Biotroninc Man, facing a different nemesis sourced from folklore, urban legends, creepypastas and the SCP Foundation reinterpreted by me to fit my universe. Thus, the tagline:
“Reimagining the Unimaginable”
But as any writer will tell you, sometimes the story develops a mind of its own and virtually starts writing itself. That’s when a writer knows they’ve hit on something good and goes with the flow.
Tim, Jerusalem, Muriel, the SCP Foundation, none of that was planned. They all just happened organically, unintentionally connecting all the previous stories.
And I love it.
As a result, I’m soft rebooting the series. I’ve gone back and numbered the series when initially each episode was identified by only by title. This led to a change of urls for the sake of coding continuity. Here are the new urls:
Part 1: http://www.genxorcist.com/01.html
Part 2: http://www.genxorcist.com/02.html
Part 3: http://www.genxorcist.com/03.html
Part 4: http://www.genxorcist.com/04.html
Part 5: http://www.genxorcist.com/05.html
Part 6: http://www.genxorcist.com/06.html
Part 7: http://www.genxorcist.com/07.html
Part 8: http://www.genxorcist.com/08.html
I think the current direction of the series is pretty damn cool and I hope more readers jump on as the plot goes forward.
